LifeVU Privacy Policy

LifeVU Ltd. (“LifeVU", “we” or "us") respects the privacy of the users of its Services and/or its website at http://www.life-vu.com/ (the "Service(s)" and "Site" respectively as such terms are defined in detailed in our Terms of use at http://www.life-vu.com/static/terms (the "TOU")) (“User” or “you”) and is committed to protect the personal information that its Users share with it. We believe that you have a right to know our practices regarding the information we may collect and use when you use our Site and/or our Service. Capitalized terms which are not defined herein, shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the TOU, which this Privacy Policy is incorporated thereto by reference.

  1. Your Consent (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!)

    BY ENTERING TO, CONNECTING TO, ACCESSING OR USING THE SITE AND/OR SERVICE YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY (THE "PRIVACY POLICY"), INCLUDING TO THE COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION (AS DEFINED BELOW). IF YOU DISAGREE TO ANY TERM PROVIDED HEREIN, YOU MAY NOT USE THE SITE AND/OR SERVICE.
  2. Which information we may collect on our Users?

    We may collect two types of data and information from our Users:
    • The first type of information is non-identifiable and anonymous information (“Non-personal Information”). We are not aware of the identity of the User from which we have collected the Non-personal Information.
      • Non-Personal Information is any unconcealed information which is available to us while Users are using the Site and/or Service. Non-personal Information which is being gathered consists of technical information and behavioral information, and may contain, among other things, type of operation system, browser, resolution, language and IP address, User's behavior and activities (such as 'click stream' on the properties and the activities of the User on the properties).
    • The second type of information is individually identifiable information (“Personal Information”). This information may identify an individual or may be of a private and/or sensitive nature.
      • In order to register to our Site, Users should provide details via an existing third party accounts (e.g. Facebook account) used by the User. When a User registers to the Site through his existing third-party social network account (namely, the User's Facebook account), then such third-party social network may provide us, by default, with certain information about such User as is stored in such third-party account. For example, the User's “Public Profile” stored by Facebook, which includes the User's name, his profile picture, age range, gender, language, country and other information which the User made public is automatically provided to LifeVU when registration to the Site is conducted via the User's Facebook account. Facebook also automatically provides us with the User’s friend list, email address, News Feed, birthday, checkins, education history, hometown, interests, current city, photos and likes. Nevertheless, we DO NOT keep all of this information. We only store in our databases the following: e-mail address, tags, data and content, social network information [TBD – you answer to question 3 of the questionnaire]. All other User information provided via the third party website is promptly deleted. Once the User provides us with a request to cancel and remove his Profile from the Site or to erase its Personal Information from our databases we will act to promptly terminate the Profile and/or delete such Personal Information from our servers (as further detailed in Section 5 below).
      • In addition, certain features of the Service allow you to purchase certain type of products using online payment methods (namely, Paypal). The information you may provide with respect to this matter may include a credit card number and other related billing information) [Please know that such online payment information is not stored in our databases (see section 10 below with respect to the payment method) .
    We do not collect any Personal Information from you or related to you without your approval, which is obtained, inter alia, through your active acceptance to the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
  3. How Do We Collect Information on Our Users?

    There are two main methods we use: a. We collect Non-Personal Information through your use of the Site and/or Service. In other words, when you are using the Site and/or Service we are aware of it and may gather, collect and record the information relating to such usage. We may use and/or store such information either independently or through the help of our authorized third-party service providers as detailed below. b. We collect Personal Information which you provide us voluntarily when you register to the Site through a third-party account (namely, Facebook). When registering through a third-party account, you agree to grant LifeVU access to certain information stored in the third-party account, as detailed above. In addition, you may provide us with certain Personal Information, which you provide us voluntarily by loging in, in order that we will be able to charge you for certain Services. We may use and/or store such information either independently or through the help of our authorized third-party service providers as detailed below.
  4. What are the Purposes of the Collection of Information?

    Non-personal Information is collected in order to:
    • Use it for statistical and research purposes and for customization and improvement of the Service, Site and/or other products and/or future products of LifeVU.
    • Personal Information is collected in order to:
      • Allow Users to use the Service.
      • Allow us to contact the registered Users in order to receive feedback with respect to their use of the Service.
      • Allow Users to purchase certain products through online payment methods (namely, Paypal).
      • Provide the Users applicable support.
    • Sharing Information with Third Parties

      LifeVU will share Personal Information it collects to the extent the disclosure is required for providing the Services. Subject to your Display Options (as detailed below) LifeVU provides the Users of the Site an ability to view the information, content etc. you uploaded to the Profile . Other Users of the Site may access such information. In addition, we cooperate with Funeral homes and Cemetery owners in the United States of America to provide "day of" and "day after" to provide Kiosk and mobile application services RepStamp may also disclose Personal Information in the following cases: (a) to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena or governmental request; (b) to enforce this Privacy Policy and/or the TOU, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (d) to respond to User's support requests; (e) respond to claims that any content available on the Site violates the rights of third-parties; (f) to respond to claims that contact information (e.g. name, e-mail address, etc.) of a third-party had been posted or transmitted without their consent or as a form of harassment; (g) to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of LifeVU, its Users, or the general public; to enable payment through certain online payment method (see section 11 below); (h) when LifeVU is undergoing any change in control, including by means of merger, acquisition or purchase of all or substantially all of its assets; to collect, hold and/or manage your Personal Information through its authorized third party service providers, as reasonable for business purposes, which may be located in countries outside Israel, including but not limited to the United States of America; or (i) pursuant to your explicit approval prior to the disclosure. For avoidance of doubt, LifeVU may transfer and disclose Non-personal Information to third parties at its own discretion.
    • Modification or Deleting Personal Information

      If for any reason you wish to modify or delete your Personal Information you can make it yourself by using the bottom “Settings" or send us an email to: service@life-vu.com and we will make reasonable efforts to modify or delete any such Personal Information pursuant to any applicable privacy laws.
    • Security

      We take a great care in implementing and maintaining the security of LifeVU's Site and its User's Personal Information. The Personal Information is hosted on the Amazon Cloud which provides advanced security features. LifeVU employs industry standard procedures and policies to ensure the safety of its Users’ Personal Information, and prevent unauthorized use of any such information. However, we do not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
    • Third Party Software/Service

      While using the Site and/or Service we may be using third party software and/or service, in order to collect, store and/or process the information detailed herein. Such software/service include without limitation, Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/), Amazon Cloud services which privacy policy can be found at: http://aws.amazon.com/privacy/ and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com).
    • Payment

      We accept payment through certain online payment method (namely, Paypal) which enables You to send payments securely online using a credit card or bank account. Please see the Paypal website (http://www.paypal.com) for more information. Please note that You shall be subject to the applicable Paypal Terms of Use (See Paypal terms). LifeVU is not affiliated with Paypal, as each is an independent contractor, and neither is the agent or employee of the other, and neither is responsible in any way for the actions or performance (or lack thereof) of the other. Use of Paypal's service is on Your sole discretion and sole liability.
    • Cookies

      When you access or use the Service, Company may use industry-wide technologies such as "cookies" (or similar technologies), which store certain information on your computer ("Local Storage") and which will allow us to enable automatic activation of certain features, and make your Service experience much more convenient and effortless. The cookies used by the Service are created per session, does not include any information about you, other than your session key and are removed as your session ends. It is easy to prohibit the Local Storage. Most browsers will allow you to erase cookies from your computer's hard drive, block acceptance of cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. However, if you block or erase cookies your online experience may be limited. We may also use certain third-party cookies. These are a different kind of cookies, stored on Your computer by third parties, rather than by LifeVU. This kind of cookie is only read (and not altered by the Site) each time You visit the Site, and also when You visit certain websites or applications that uses similar cookies. Third-party cookies usually store only a Non-personal Information, such as the web pages You have visited, the duration of Your browsing, etc.
    • Changes to the Privacy Policy

      The terms of this Privacy Policy will govern the use of the Site and Service and any information collected therein. LifeVU reserves the right to change this policy at any time, so please re-visit this page frequently. We will provide notice of substantial changes of this policy on the homepage of the Site and/or we will send you an e-mail regarding such changes to the e-mail address that you provided in the registration form. Such substantial changes will take effect seven (7) days after such notice was provided on our website or sent by email. Otherwise, all other changes to this Privacy Policy are effective as of the stated “Last Revised” date and your continued use of the Site after the Last Revised date will constitute acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, those changes.
